Islamabad: The Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has declared jihad against Pakistan from within Pakistani territory and has rejected the Pakistan Army's allegations of receiving support from foreign countries.

What did the TTP say?

Talking to the media, TTP spokesperson Mohammad Khorasani responded to the Pakistani army's accusations targeting India. Mohammad Khorasani denied claims that the TTP receives Afghan or foreign support, stating that its leadership and operational structure are entirely based within Pakistan.

However, the TTP leader also denied deliberately targeting civilians or Chinese-related projects in Pakistan, a claim repeatedly made by Pakistan.

What are the claims of the Pakistan Army?

The Pakistan Army has repeatedly claimed that evidence of Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) attacks indicates that they were planned, financed, and directed from Afghanistan, and has also alleged the involvement of India and Afghanistan. When the TTP was asked whether they categorically deny that the TTP's leadership, training facilities, or logistics network operate from Afghan territory, and if so, where their actual command-and-control center is located, they responded as follows:

What has the TTP said about the Pakistan Army’s allegations?

Denying the Pakistani army's allegations, the TTP spokesperson said that the extensive records, videos, audio, and written materials of the TTP's leadership, spokespersons, and ground workers clearly show that they are waging a defensive jihad on their own land with the support of their honorable nation.

“This is why dozens of operations take place across Pakistan every day. Every year, the enemy (Pakistan Army) conducts thousands of oppressive operations in Pakistani territory, during which ISPR itself reports the killing and arrest of our fighters, from ordinary members to senior leaders,” he said.

“This demonstrates that the entire operational structure of the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan is spread throughout Pakistan. Our system includes provincial leaders (governors), district commanders, unit commanders, and thousands of fighters who are engaged in direct combat with the enemy,” he added.

He further stated that the claim that Afghanistan, India, or any other country is supporting Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan is completely contrary to the facts and is merely intended to spread lies and mislead people.

"Our jihad continues with the cooperation, support, and assistance of our own honorable people. Currently, the way we are operating does not involve any external assistance. As for weapons and military resources, everything is available in the black market of Pakistan. This is common knowledge, known to everyone from police officers to senior military officials and prominent politicians. There is no need to argue about something that is already known to all," the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesperson said.

The TTP also reiterated its commitment to implementing strict Sharia law in Pakistan and establishing Sharia courts in the areas under its control.
